OH&S

At Sunblest Cleaning Services, we are committed to providing a safe and high quality working environment for our staff, clients and other key stakeholders. We have structured our policies and procedures regarding OH&S to ensure quality standards are met and continuous reviews that are specific to our statutory requirements and overall staff and client well being.

ORGANISATION AND STRUCTURE

With at least one senior manager having overall responsibility for the direction of Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) management, policies are in place to support the distribution of responsibility and accountability across the Executive Management team.

POLICY AND PLANNING SYSTEM

To gain commitment to the implementation of our policies and procedures, plans are developed with the involvement of all our team members (including employees, suppliers, contractors and clients). These are then fully documented, communicated and reviewed to ensure progress is measured against performance targets.%

MATERIALS, CHEMICALS, PLANT AND EQUIPMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Hazards from materials, chemicals, plant and equipment are identified and controlled as much as possible as a result of consultation with employees, suppliers, contractors and clients. Examples of “not-at-source” controls that are used include MSDSs, chemical labeling, preventative maintenance, training etc.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

Training and Communication is designed to ensure that employees, clients, suppliers and contractors are able to integrate OH&S into their daily activities. Employees are involved in the development and delivery of training. Induction training in OH&S and related training is undertaken by all employees. Communication tools and reporting aids are available for all stakeholders to advise of roles and responsibilities, and most importantly to document incidents and/or concerns of stakeholders to ensure transparency and immediate action when required.
